Financial Resource Associates, Inc. is something of a mystery, a round peg looking
for a square hole... financial advisors who are more interested in helping people
than in advising on finance! In 1982 Elaine Kiernan and her husband, Walt, founded
FRA and were licensed with the State of California, with the goal of providing
the community in the Santa Cruz area with personalized financial services for
individuals and both large and small businesses. Elaine's watchwords were
community and personalized - just as they are today.

As they put their organization together they recognized that providing a truly
personalized service meant not just specializing in any one area of financial
planning and support, but covering the raft of needs which make up our everyday
lives, and thinking not just in terms of dollars, but in terms of life values and
the balance between financial and personal success. The team they assembled
includes specialists in each of the principal areas of financial planning, insurance,
asset management and retirement and estate planning, as well as divorce financial
services, to cover the entire wealth management spectrum - on call and working
together with the single goal of supporting every aspect of your financial health
and quality of life. As Elaine says "It's been a wonderful ride, with a family
